Japan’s economy is currently experiencing a virtuous inflationary cycle, in which companies are passing on rising costs driven by inflation to secure profits, while preparing for wage increases and expanded capital expenditures. As a result, the economy is transitioning toward a world of rising prices and positive interest rates, marking a departure from the prolonged deflationary environment and a return to normalization.
While geopolitical risks and uncertainties have increased due to conflicts around the world, Japan’s macroeconomic environment is expected to benefit from continued corporate governance reforms and the government’s industrial transformation initiatives, including investments across 17 priority sectors such as semiconductors, AI, energy, and defense. These public and private investments are anticipated to drive corporate earnings growth and expand investment opportunities.
Japan’s real estate market has also reached a record high, exceeding JPY 6 trillion in 2025, with strong demand from both domestic and international investors expected to continue. The digital securities (security token) market has already surpassed JPY 500 billion and is projected to exceed JPY 1 trillion by 2026. Looking ahead, the market is expected to expand beyond real estate into a broader range of asset classes, while the development of secondary markets—such as “START” by the Osaka Digital Exchange (ODX)—is likely to improve liquidity, which has historically been a key challenge.
Our firm has built a strong track record in real estate investment, primarily earning the trust of overseas institutional investors. Going forward, in response to these evolving external conditions, we aim to transition from traditional asset management to an enhanced digital asset management model. By doing so, we seek to provide more efficient and liquid investment opportunities not only to institutional investors but also to individual investors. We believe this will form a core part of our mission, and we are committed to contributing to the continued development and revitalization of Japan’s real estate investment market.
